April 6th-Sailboats

I host a Mommy and Me Book Club at my house once a week.  Today we read the book The Puddle by David McPhail.  We made cute little sailboats and took them outside to sail in our swimming pool. (You can click on the link to see how).   It was such a fun way to use our pool.  The pool usually doesn't get pulled out until the middle of May.  Ryan had a great time!  Later that afternoon, Andrew and Molly had fun playing in the water with funnels and scoops.  We sailed little boats we made out of bark.

  1. I feel like kids are always entertained with water! They can play in it forever. Great idea!

  2. What a good idea to make use of the pool before summertime!

  4. Love the sailboat idea - it's warm enough here in the afternoon to break out the kiddie pool - it's on the agenda for tomorrow I think! Today we found a great hollow to explore full of wildflowers - right in our neighborhood!

  5. We played outside with cars and trucks in the sand table today and just chased around the yard playing hide and seek. It was a simply ordinary and lovely spring day.
