Day3 we played outside at the St Louis Arch park and a bit at the zoo before the Long ride home..lovely warm low 80's but I could barely stand Up in the 40mph wind gusts! and I felt like a sheepdog... ;) Well home again home again all in the same day...we will be looking forward to a bit more normal hoosier outdoor weather and fun...Hope you all had a great day!
Sweet! We planted our red onion sets this morning and visited the grandparents and the kids spent ages on the swing set singing "Shoo fly, don't bother me..." to all those carpenter bees flying around.
April 3 we went and visited the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center - it's bluebonnet season here in Texas so we got to see some close up and take pictures. We walked around the garden for a good hour and a half before climbing up the tall tower to get a better view of the beautiful South Austin countryside!
April4; Day 4, Ugh...all the great weather stopped at the Illinois border we must have an Icy Shield that kept all that 80degrees from coming all the way back with us! 40-50 degrees and Heavy Thunderstorms with lightning kept us in most of the day we got out for about 15 minutes to give the dogs a little walk. Tomorrow tomorrow I love ya tomorrow....:)
We stayed in most of the day due to heavy wind, rain and thunderstorms. We recently moved up north to a "tornado alley" kind of place so I'm still nervous whenever severe weather heads our way. Give me a hurricane any day! It's chilly but sunny here so we should be able to get out today. :)
we went to the park where the boys practiced golf!

ReplyDeleteA gorgeous day outside for swinging, finding bird nests, and catching crickets! (Did you know they bite?)
